Fair play in Footymate

How we keep it fair

• Your phone only sends your choices: your team, your starting call, your notes, and your shouts and substitutions with the minute you made them. It never sends a score, money or coins.
• Our server is the referee. It hands out each minute's luck only when the match reaches it, so nobody can see ahead. It plays every match and keeps the official score, the club money and the coins.
• There is nothing to type about your club, so there is nothing rude to say. Club names are built from ready-made parts, and there is no chat.

What counts as cheating

• Changing the app, or what it sends to our server, to get a result, money, coins or looks you didn't earn.
• Letting a program play for you: pressing Play, giving shouts or making substitutions automatically.
• Using one of your clubs to help another, for example setting up a club whose saved team is meant to lose to your other club.
• Using a bug on purpose to get results, money or coins. If you find one, tell us instead.
• Selling, buying or sharing clubs or spare keys.

What is fine

• Playing whenever suits you, and saving up your ranked matches (up to ten).
• Playing friendlies (one a day against each real club).
• Building your squad however you like within your division's limit.
• Letting your assistant play your team while you're away, on your plan and your notes.
• Asking never to meet a club again.

What happens

We read every report. If we find cheating, we can take away the results, club money, coins or looks it brought. We can also put the club back to the start of its division, or remove it from Footymate. A removed club shows as "a former club" in other clubs' histories. We don't reply about every report, and we never tell a club who reported it.

If a purchase is refunded, the coins it brought are taken back, even if that takes your balance below zero, and the shop waits until you're back above it.

Report a club, or keep it away

Open the club's page from your "While you were away" list.

• Report tells us about a name that reads badly, about something that looks like cheating, or about anything else.
• Don't match me again, for a club that played your team while you were away, means you and that club are never drawn against each other again. Changed your mind? Go to Settings, then Clubs you won't meet, and tap Match me again.
